The present invention provides a high-barrier layered hollow container prepared from polyethylene and a barrier masterbatch and a preparation process thereof. The barrier masterbatch is prepared from EVOH and a compatibilizer, and then dry-blended with polyethylene to prepare the container. In the product, EVOH is distributed in the polyethylene matrix in a layered form, the product has excellent barrier properties to hydrocarbons, and meanwhile has good mechanical properties. The hollow container can be used in fields such as automobile fuel tanks and pesticide packaging bottles.
