The present invention relates to a bamboo powder-filled biodegradable composite material and a preparation method thereof. The raw material formula by weight parts is: biodegradable resin 30–80 parts, bamboo powder 20–70 parts, plasticizer 1–19 parts, interface modifier 0.6–6 parts, additives 4–12 parts. The preparation method comprises: uniformly mixing biodegradable resin, bamboo powder, plasticizer, interface modifier and additives in a mixer according to the formula ratio; melt-blending and pelletizing the mixture in a screw extruder to obtain granules; and molding the granules in molds of different shapes via an injection molding machine, sheet extrusion molding machine, blow molding machine or film blowing machine to obtain bamboo powder-filled biodegradable composite materials of various shapes. The method of the invention features high production efficiency and low cost. The prepared bamboo powder-filled material is environmentally friendly, economical and has good service performance.
