A flame-retardant resin molded article is formed from the composition by one or more molding machines selected from compression molding, injection molding, casting, blow molding, extrusion molding and fiber molding machines. A method for preparing the composition comprises mixing at least the matrix resin and flame-retardant particles using one or more kneaders selected from a roller mill, kneader, Banbury mixer, compounder, single-screw extruder and twin-screw extruder.
